Revenue Growth Of 2.8% For Havas

Havas has announced first half revenue of €719 million, compared with €700 million in H1 2005, a rise of 2.8%.

These results also show a turnaround from the Q1 this year, with a 2.5% rise in Q2 sales compared with a 2.4% dip for Q1. Net new business was €900 million for the first half, compared to €490 million in H1 2005.

Havas, the world’s sixth largest advertising group, saw year-on-year organic growth fall in Britain by 1% at €84 million, while growth in North America fell by 5.3% to €274 million (£187.6 million). Asia-Pacific growth also fell by 4.8% to €28 million (£19 million).

However, the group’s organic growth increased in France by 2.6%, with revenue of €154 million (£105 million), the rest of Europe (excluding Britain) grew 8.2% with €151 million (£103 million), and Latin America up 16.5% at €28 million (£19 million).
