Richard Eyre Joins MGt As Non-Exec Director

Richard Eyre Media and entertainment industry veteran, Richard Eyre, has been appointed as a non-executive director at MGt, the leading support services provider to the digital broadcast and new media sector.

Companies such as BSkyB, Discovery Networks, Sony Entertainment, Setanta Sports, Top Up TV and Virgin Media rely on MGt, and its customer management services and technology, to build loyal and profitable viewer relationships.

Eyre brings more than 30 years of experience in the media and broadcast industry to his role at MGt.

Following an early career in advertising Eyre was appointed chief executive of Capital Radio in 1991, where he led the development of the largest radio group in the UK. Subsequent executive positions included chief executive of ITV Network, chairman and chief executive of Pearson Television and director of content and strategy for RTL.

Eyre currently holds non-executive positions at The Guardian Media Group, RDF Media and I-Play, and serves as chairman of the Internet Advertising Bureau.

“I look forward to contributing to the strategy and growth of the company,” said Eyre. “The ability to manage customers across multiple platforms is increasingly important but technically and operationally challenging. MGt has the experience, expertise and services to build strong viewer relationships as new platforms emerge.”
