River Shores Up Team With New Marketing Manager

River Publishing has announced the appointment of Michael Bradley to the position of sales and marketing manager with responsibility for driving revenue at the independently owned contract publisher.

The newly created position will see Bradley charged with identifying and implementing advertising and revenue building opportunities for River’s existing clients, which include brands such as Holland & Barrett, Superdrug and The Sunday Times.

As well as overseeing a range of client-focused initiatives, Bradley (pictured) will also focus on driving organic growth within River’s existing portfolio of titles. He will report directly to managing director, Nicola Murphy and deputy managing director, Edward Axon.

Bradley joins River from sales promotion and direct marketing agency, SMP, where he worked across a portfolio of pharmaceutical and FMCG clients including Novartis, Unilever and Kimberly-Clark. River claims the move reflects a period of healthy growth for the company, which was ranked as the UKšs fastest growing contract publisher last year.

Commenting on the appointment, Nicola Murphy, Riveršs managing director, said: “I am delighted Michael is joining us at such an exciting time for River. Not only does his appointment reflect our continued growth as a company, but it also reflects our commitment to continually improve client service.”

She added: “Michael joins with a wealth of marketing expertise and as sales and marketing manager here at River, he will focus on harnessing the best opportunities for our clients, to ensure we are continually offering added value and are maximising sales and marketing potential on their behalf.”

Earlier this year River Publishing announced unexpectedly high sales for the September/October issue of Holland & Barrett magazine, bucking the current trend of decline amongst health titles and forcing the publisher to reprint the issue to cope with the increased demand (see Healthy Magazine Bucks Trend With Reprint).
