RTL Group has announced the appointment of Andreas Rudas as executive vice president regional operations & business development central and eastern Europe at RTL Group’s headquarters.
Rudas will be member of the RTL Group Executive Committee.
Gerhard Zeiler, RTL Group CEO, said: “Due to his extensive experience in Eastern European markets, Andreas Rudas is excellently qualified to handle his assignment.
“His experience in his current position with our longtime partner WAZ Media Group, and in prior engagements at various entertainment and media businesses, will prove a valuable contribution to RTL Group. I wish Andreas Rudas the best of success in his new position and look forward to a close cooperation.”
Rudas is currently executive director of WAZ Ost Holding (subsidiary of WAZ Media Group), responsible for Austria, South Eastern Europe and Vietnam.
Since December 2005 he has been responsible for strategy, subsidiary management as well as M&A activities in ten Eastern countries. Prior he held various positions at Magna International Europe since 2000.
Since 1986, Rudas has worked with the public Austrian broadcaster ORF, from 1994 to 1997 as its secretary general, responsible for business planning, media politics, marketing and satellite broadcasting.
