Scottish Business Freesheet Launches

Newspaper Man Trinity Mirror has launched a new free business title, Business 7, targeting the Scottish business community.

The weekly paper, along with its website, business7.co.uk, is Trinity Mirror’s first free business title.

The website, which launched alongside the print copy, includes a daily business news update, a blog and interactive features.

The paper is distributed every Friday morning across Scotland to 20,000 business professionals.

It is distributed at commuter points such as railway stations and airports and specific work places.

The title is headed by editor in chief Alasdair Northrop – also editor of Trinity Mirror’s Scottish business monthly Insider magazine – and editor Jonathan Russell.

It is understood that Business 7 will work closely with Insider magazine both editorially and commercially (see New Business Freesheet For Scotland).

At the last ABCs, for August, the London daily business freesheet, City AM, was down by more than 11,600 copies month on month, leaving its total circulation at almost 81,700 (see thelondonpaper Sees Circulation Decline In August).
