ABC has announced today that Simon Redlich, its current executive director of Audit, Finance & ICT, has been appointed interim chief executive officer, starting in January.
Redlich replaces Jerry Wright who announced earlier this year that he would be stepping down from his post after more than seven years in the role.
During Wright’s tenure, ABC transformed from a predominantly print based circulation auditor to develop multi-platform industry standards for brand measurement and verification of digital ad trading best practice.
Redlich will build on the work done to date, with ABC now delivering both multi-platform ‘publisher brand’ measurement and pioneering work on brand safety and viewability in digital ad trading.

Sally Cartwright, chairman of ABC, said: “I’m delighted that Simon Redlich will be the new ABC interim CEO.
“Simon has a wealth of experience at ABC and will provide much needed consistency and continuity as ABC continues to deliver to the evolving needs of the industry.”
Redlich added: “I’m excited to be taking on this role and look forward to working with the ABC team to further develop the services we offer the industry.
“We’ll continue to work closely with the ABC Board and committees to meet industry needs and ensure ABC is the media industry’s ‘stamp of trust’.”
