Sky Sports News HQ app arrives on the NOW TV Box

NOW TV is offering a new way to watch Sky Sports News HQ, with an app launching on the NOW TV Box.

From today, anyone with a NOW TV Box and any active NOW TV pass – sports, entertainment or movies – will be able to watch Sky Sports News HQ through a dedicated app on their homepage.

Customers with a Sky Sports Day Pass or Sky Sports Week Pass will be able to continue watching Sky Sports News HQ via the NOW TV Box app even when their current pass has expired. For 30 days from the point of activation they’ll still be able to keep up with the latest sporting news through the NOW TV Box.

“On Monday we’ll see the frenzy of Transfer Deadline Day reach fever pitch as the clock ticks down to 11pm,” said Gidon Katz, director of NOW TV. “Sky Sports News HQ is always right at the heart of the latest breaking sports news and the new app on the NOW TV Box means sports fans can now get even more from their NOW TV passes.”

Sky Sports News HQ is the latest app to join the NOW TV Box, which effectively turns a TV into a smart TV for £9.99. It currently offers apps such as catch up services from iPlayer, 4oD, ITV Player and Demand 5, as well as the likes of YouTube, Facebook and Spotify.
