Introduced in 2022 as a key initiative to enhance our legacy as the hub of UK media excellence, The Future 100 Club is a recognition of the industry’s next wave of leaders.
Steven Scaffardi, managing director of Adwanted UK’s events and publishing division, said: “The Future 100 Club is a gathering of professionals from diverse backgrounds within the media industry. Unlike traditional lists of rising stars or future leaders, there are no barriers or discrimination based on age, industry experience or job title.”
“Each inductee will be evaluated based on their prowess in embracing our core values of disruption, innovation, courage and excellence. By highlighting 100 professionals annually who operate beyond the confines of the C-suite, we aim to gain insights on how to enhance education within this industry for future generations.”
The Future 100 Club has rapidly gathered momentum as a positive industry initiative, giving a voice to the inductees each year, whether that is through The Media Leader publication or its events.
Chris Dunne, head of marketing at Thinkbox and joint CEO of Outvertising, was inducted into the inaugural class of 2022, before winning the first ever Future 100 Club manifesto. He praised the experience of being part of The Future 100 Club, saying it had been “both a professional highlight and a personal pleasure”.
Dunne added: “Just to be amongst this exceptionally talented group of people from across the entire spectrum of the media industry has been rewarding enough, but it’s also provided opportunities to learn, build my personal profile, make valuable connections and contribute to The Media Leader’s programme of events and content. There’s literally no downside!”
Entries will close on 5 September and The Media Leader will announce the class of 2024 on 23 September.
