The Media Leader Loves: Classic beer ads

With UK summer here and pub gardens and advertising office roof terraces in full flow we asked The Media Leader team for their top 5 beer adverts:

1. “Here’s to you Ahab” – is it even a list of adverts if it doesn’t feature the Guiness surfer ad?

2. “I can see the pub from here” – at a time when Crocodile Dundee was in the cinema and aussie soaps dominated UK TV, this classic of anglo-australian advertising stood out.

3. “Want a flake in that love?” – nothing says summer like an ice cream van and er Melanie Sykes.

4. “The water in Majorca” – an all time classic. Jokes about the British class system, summer holidays and word play what more do you want from a UK summer advert.

5. “Wassup!” – Annoying, entered the culture and somehow over 25 years old.
