The Yahoo!, Flickr and MediaTel photo awards evening tonight

The Yahoo!, Flickr and MediaTel photographic competition awards evening is to be held tonight at INC Space.

The inaugural competition titled ‘Celebration of a Nation’ invited keen amateur photographers working in the media industry to submit their photographs capturing Great Britain in a momentous year.

The top 20 photographs – as judged by an expert panel – will be on show tonight for one night only.

The competition had eight categories, each reflecting the great British summer. All the entries are showcased on the largest photo sharing website in the world – Flickr.

At the awards evening, category winners will be announced and the overall Grand Prix winner will receive a fantastic prize of a Canon EOS 600D.

The event will also fundraise for lifesaving treatment for Bobby and other children suffering from Sanfilippo (MPS) – a condition that gradually breaks down children’s physical and mental abilities and causes premature death. For more details click here.
