Tiscali Boosts Online TV Offering With Setanta Deal

Tiscali has bolstered its online TV offering by reaching a deal with sports broadcaster Setanta.

The deal means that customers will now have access to content from three Setanta Sports channels for £7.99 a month.

Users will be able to access live broadcasts from Setanta Sports 1, 2 and Golf as well as on-demand and highlights on both PC and Mac platforms.

The sports broadcaster launched its Setanta by Broadband product earlier this year and it was the first broadcaster in the UK to offer live Barclays Premier League football online (see Setanta Unveils Premier League Football Schedule).

Alex Hole, online media director of Tiscali UK, said, “We recognise that broadcasting is increasingly converging and this announcement, along with the cross-platform launch of our Movies Now on-demand pay per view movie service earlier this year, reflects this.”
