Trinity Mirror Reports Increased Ad Revenues

Trinity Mirror has reported increased advertising revenues of 2.1% for the five months to the end of November.

In a trading update released today, Trinity Mirror said that advertising revenues in its regionals division increased by 0.6% for the five months to November, compared with a decline of 1.0% for the first half.

By category, display was up 4.6%, recruitment down 1.0%, property up 2.8%, motors down 13.8% and other classified categories were up 1.3%.

Nationals division advertising revenues increased by 5.6% compared with a fall of 2.3% for the first half, resulting in an increase of 1.0% for the 11 months to November.

Group circulation revenues grew 0.7% year on year, maintaining the 0.7% growth seen in the first half. Within this, nationals grew 0.9% and regionals 0.2%. For the 11 months to November group circulation revenues grew by 0.7%.

Group digital revenues grew 33.3% on an underlying basis, with an increase of 27.0% for the regionals division and 98.5% for the nationals. For the 11 months to November group digital revenues have grown by 28.7% with an increase of 24.6% for the first half.
