The latest TV market round-up shows that all commercial television channels saw an increase in revenue year on year, with particularly strong growth for ITV – recording a 14% rise to almost £114 million
Channel 4 saw only a slight increase after last month’s decrease, reporting a lift of just 0.2% to secure £44.6 million. ITV Breakfast was up only 1.1% to secure almost £3.7 million over the period.
Meanwhile, Channel Five – which might go up for sale this year – saw a 4.3% increase to take £20.5 million, whilst Total Satellite was up 2.2% securing £111 million.
Total terrestrial, certainly bolstered by ITV’s strong performance, saw a 9% increase between December 2012 and December 2013 – taking almost £183 million.
