TV market round-up: May 2019

Following a few months of seesawing figures, television revenues had a more stable month in May – recording only minimal changes year-on-year according to UK agency estimates.

Channel 4 once again performed the best in the market in terms of its total revenue growth, up 4.3% YoY to just over £55.2m.

Meanwhile, ITV – the largest of the UK’s commercial broadcasters – grew 1% over the year to reach £112.7m. However, ITV Breakfast saw its revenues fall -1.2% to £5m.

Elsewhere, Total Satellite’s revenues were down -1.3% to £192.6m.
