The number of UK homes with access to the internet has increased by a million over the past year, according to new figures from the Office of National Statistics.

According to ONS, 56% of adults had used in the internet in the three months prior to interview, up from 54% in the first quarter (see UK Internet Penetration Approaches 50%). Men in the 16-24 age group are the UK’s most prolific web users.
