UBC Media Group Announces £19 Million Revenue

UBC Media Group has reported revenue of £19.4m for the year to March 31, up 21.8%, with most of the growth coming from advertising revenues from networked programming, which rose 45.8% year-on-year to £11m.

The company also announced a 13.9% increase in revenue from its digital software business and a 5.1% boost in its digital content division, which produces customised programming for a variety of clients. In addition, UBC reported operating profit before goodwill amortisation of £349,000 (the first time since its IPO), however the net loss before tax was £234,000.

UBC Media Group is also planning to invest £3m in digital music downloading technology that will allow users to buy music from radio stations using a handheld mobile device.
