Leading US cable and DSL providers accounted for over 19 million high-speed internet users by the end of the first quarter of this year, according to the latest figures from Leichtman Research Group (LRG).
The top cable operators now account for 12.3 million broadband internet subscribers, maintaining a 65% share of the market versus DSL, according to Leichtman. This customer base comes from a potential reach by the top ten US cable groups of 87 million subscribers.
