US online retail sales exceeded $14 billion in the final quarter of 2002, according to a new report from the Department of Commerce.
The yearly total of $45.54 billion represented a 26.7% rise from the $35.93 billion raised in 2001 and is another indication that consumer confidence in the internet is building. US online retail spend is predicted to be up by 1.4% in the first quarter of 2003, compared to the same period last year (see US Online Retail Spend To Nudge Up 1.4% In Q1, Finds Survey).
