Waking The Dead Grabs 6.5m Adults

Trevor Eve The second part of Waking The Dead was the big winner last night, with a peak of 6.5 million adult viewers giving the show a 29.6% share of the audience.

The conclusion to Monday night’s episode had all the twists and turns we have come to expect from the show, and had an average of 6.4 million adults tuned in from 9pm to 10pm.

This was almost double the average achieved by the next most watched show in the 9pm slot, with Cops With Cameras on ITV1 getting a peak of 3.4 million and an average of 3.3 million.

On BBC Two viewers were treated to the start of a new four part documentary series looking at terrorist atrocities, The Age of Terror.

Presented by journalist Peter Taylor, last night’s instalment featured the raid on Entebbe airport, and managed to pick up a peak of one million adults.

Over on Five, the ever watchable CSI: Crime Scene Investigation had a very respectable peak of 2.7 million viewers.

Overnight data is available each morning in mediatel.co.uk’s TV Database, with all BARB registered subscribers able to view reports for terrestrial networks, ITV2 and Sky One.
