Whatsontv.co.uk, the soap and primetime TV listings website, has launched a dedicated Christmas section for visitors looking for TV treats.
As well as a Christmas TV guide, the section will be packed with competitions, quizzes and TV features, including video packages about the forthcoming BBC Christmas drama, Oliver Twist, and how a millionaire like Peter Jones spends his Christmas.
The Christmas section will be heavily flagged on Whatsontv.co.uk’s home page and will be promoted with full-page advertisements in IPC TX’s portfolio of TV magazines and banner advertisements across IPC Media’s websites.
Patrick McLennan, editor of whatsontv.co.uk, said: “For many people, TV provides some of their best Christmas memories – and 2007 is shaping up to have more than its fair share of classic shows, from the last ever Extras to Kylie on the Titanic in Doctor Who.
“Our new section will make people’s experience of Christmas telly just that little bit richer. I hope you enjoy it.”
Whatsontv.co.uk launched in January 2007, offering users a multi-channel TV listings guide, TV news and gossip, coverage of the major soaps, previews of must-see shows, and an in-depth TV film guide.
IPC’s compact TV guide TV Easy recently unveiled a new look for the new year, with a corresponding price increase to 45p (see TV Easy Gets New Look For The New Year).
