Zee TV FAST channel launches in DACH, complete with German subtitles

Zee Entertainment has launched Zee TV as a FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Zee TV offers 24/7 German subtitles, which are expected to attract more viewers outside the South Asian diaspora, as well as German-speaking children and grandchildren of parents who originally came from South Asia.

Zee Entertainment views the subtitles as an important step forward in the FAST market. Benedict Frey, country lead for DACH & Benelux at Samsung TV Plus, agreed. He said: “Making this content accessible with live German subtitles is a meaningful step in serving diverse audiences across the region and enriching the viewing experience for all.”

Zee TV includes drama, reality shows and other family entertainment. The channel is currently exclusive to Samsung Plus in Germany. Samsung TV Plus is Samsung’s free, ad-supported streaming TV service.
