GGT, the former Gold Greenlees Trott, has bought French agency BDDP for Ffr836 million (£105m).GGT is to issue £55 million new shares, of which around £35m will go to BDDP shareholders. BDDP is the third largest advertising agency in France and the fifteenth largest in the United States.
UK Gold has bought around 700 hours of programmes including Crossroads, Boon, Spitting Image and Chancer from CTE, the Carlton-owned distributor.The sale represents CTE’s largest-ever sale of programmes to a non-ITV UK broadcaster and is UK Gold’s biggest non-launch acquisition.
