ITV has now launched its ITV Player app on Apple mobile devices.It is the first UK broadcaster to launch its VoD app on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, with seven days of programming now available to users.This development follows the broadcasters launch last month of the ITV Player app on Google Android.

Virgin Media are striking a deal with Spotify to offer broadband customers discounts on the music service. The deal will start in the next few months, and is the first between Spotify and a UK-based internet service provider (ISP).

A new eMarketer report estimates that 158.1 million US internet users will download or stream video at least monthly in 2011 – but this doesn’t mean they will be cutting the cord on their pay-TV service.
