IPC Magazines’ Specialist Group has appointed Bruce Sandell as advertisement manager for its new music monthly title, Muzik. Sandell was previously senior sales executive with the IPC Music Press sales team for the titles Melody Maker, NME, Vox and Loaded.

Newspaper group Trinity International has published results for the year ending December 31. The Group, which owns titles in both the UK and North America recorded pre-tax profits of £22.877 million, an increase of 15% on last year’s £19.854 million. Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO has announced a healthy set of results for the year ending December 31. Pre-tax profits were up by 73% from £4.746 million last year to £8.217 million this year. Abbott Mead’s share price rose by 2p this morning to 339p.
