June 2011 saw the daily newspaper market down -7.8%, with once again only i posting an increase: the independent morning daily increased its circulation by 99,432 (a growth of 57.4%).
The daily newspaper market is down -8.3% on May 2011, with just one title posting an increase over the year. i continues to see its circulation rise – the title is up 64.3% on this time last year.
The quality titles, both the dailies and Sundays, were the biggest losers in readership terms in the latest NRS release for April 2011 to March 2012 (the first release of 2012 data).
