The Data Protection Registrar has published new guidelines for the interpretation of the 1984 Data Protection Act. The interim revision reflects certain new developments, including charges to the method of registration and the forthcoming Data Protection Bill, which will implement the EU’s Data Protection Directive.

It will study in particular the connections between alcohol advertising and sport and youth.
