Johnston Press increased their interim pre-tax profits by 24% from £4.85m to £6.02m, in the six months to June.The Edinburgh based publishing group attributed the rise to the West Sussex County Times achieving a significant profits increase, aided by the Worthing Guardian, which was acquired at the end of 1992.
