Allied Radio has denied rumours that it is to be taken over by Southern Radio and instead suggested that it is on the verge of an acquisition. Allied Radio includes Mercury and County Sound in Surrey and West Sussex and Southern Radio includes Southern Sound and Ocean Sound covering Sussex and Hampshire.
