Japanese advertising agency Hakuhodo is looking to buy out a number of London agencies as part of its plans to expand in the UK, according to a report in Campaign magazine. Hakuhodo has apparently hired a consultancy firm to make first-level contacts with various agencies which it believes would complement the firm’s existing London office.
In the wake of yesterday’s announcement that the Government will be banning all advertising of tobacco, the Tobacco Manufacturers Association has said that the industry spent about £20 million on outdoor poster sites in 1996.
