Publisher of the Falkirk Herald and Falkirk & Grangemouth Advertiser, Johnston Press, has announced pre-tax profits of £9.75m for the year ending December 1992. Turnover fell to £71.69m and earnings per share have risen to 22.7p from 17.9p.

Classic FM has secured British Gas to sponsor a brand new programme – Classical Gas – in a package worth £200,000. The deal is set to last for six months and involves tag lines and trailers on the programme.
Publisher of the Liverpool Weekly Newspaper Group, Trinity Newspapers, has announced pre-tax profits of £16.90m for the year ending December 31 1992. Turnover fell from £135.49m to £115.39m and earnings per share increased from 15.6p to 17.1p.
Pre-tax profits for outdoor group, More O’Ferrall stand at £5.04m for the year ending December 1992, having fallen from last year’s £5.80m. Turnover increased to £62.50m and earnings per share fell from 14.9p to 11p. The final dividend came out at 10p making the total for the year 13.2p.
