GMTV is planning a relaunch for April 19, which will involve a ‘sharpening of image’, with a new bulletins studio to accommodate the heightened news output. The channel is planning to move Top of The Morning from the 8.50am slot to 9am.

Publisher of the Falkirk Herald and Falkirk & Grangemouth Advertiser, Johnston Press, has announced pre-tax profits of £9.75m for the year ending December 1992. Turnover fell to £71.69m and earnings per share have risen to 22.7p from 17.9p.
