The Independent is launching a voucher scheme to support the launch of its new Wednesday City+ supplement (see New Section For Independent). The UK minister for National Heritage, Chris Smith, has said that the government has no plans to enforce the fitting of V-chips, the technological filtering device, to TV sets: “The best V-chip in the world is the off switch” he said.
