Channel One is to broadcast two and a half hours of Wimbledon highlights at 9.30 every night, for the two weeks of the tournament. BSkyB has lost out in the deal which gives Channel One exclusive secondary rights for three years.
The Saga group has expressed an interest in moving into radio and is expected to apply for any new regional licences that are advertised. The group may also bid for one of the new London licences later this year. Like the holidays and magazines, Saga radio will be aimed at the over 50s.

Women’s Weeklies’ advertising manager, Ian Scott, is to join RSA as advertising sales director. Scott will take over from Katrina Hill, who will remain at RSA in an unspecified capacity. IPC has yet to announce who will replace Scott on the Women’s Weeklies.
