Allied Radio has announced results for 1993; pre-tax losses were £1.90m, a deterioration on the previous years losses of £1.72m. The company proposes a rights issue to raise approximately £1.55m. The chairman said that the first few months of 1994 had been difficult, but there are encouraging signs.
Westminster Press has launched a new weekly paper in north Yorkshire. The North Yorkshire Star is a free tabloid, distributed on Tuesdays to 26,041 homes around the Darlington area.The 40+page paper will carry full television and satellite listings as well as local what’s on information.
