12Snap Extends Offering With In House Marketing Service

Mobile marketing group, 12Snap, has launched a new service to enable media owners to run their mobile marketing campaigns in house.

Following a new partnership with mobile software group, Add2Phone, clients will be able to plan, schedule and execute simple campaigns directly from their customer database.

The partnership reflects the growing popularity of conducting mobile marketing campaigns in house. The Telegraph group recently formed a partnership with mobile marketing company, Brainstorm, to enable it to offer advertisers similar opportunities (see Telegraph Expands Ad Portfolio With SMS Partnership).

Michael Birkel, chief executive at 12Snap, commented: “As mobile marketing becomes more widely adopted, we hope that by making it easier for companies to execute campaigns, they will be encouraged to run more of them in the future. Our partnership with Add2Phone not only allows us to take advantage of this increased activity but also means that we are the only company that is able to provide a full service mobile marketing offering to the European market.”

Aki Snellman from Add2Phone added: “12snap has exposure in many key markets and this deal gives Add2Phone the front-row position to provide cutting-edge solutions for large-scale advertiser customers and network operators.”

12Snap also announced that it is to undertake a major research project into the future of mobile marketing, which will test the potential of next generation WAP mobile marketing services to advertisers.

Mobile internet services attracted an average of 17 million page impressions per day during January, according to the latest figures from the Mobile Data Association (MDA) and the UK’s four GSM operators (see WAP Services Reach Record Total In January).
