Channel 4 came out on top in the all important 9pm slot last night, with The Secret Millionaire grabbing a peak of 4.5 million viewers.
The show had an average audience of 4.2 million viewers – an 18.6% share of viewing – for its hour long duration.
Mutual Friends, on BBC One at 9pm, saw Martin attempt to cope with his marital problems by getting back into the life of a single man.
The comedy drama had a peak audience of 3.8 million viewers, while an average of 3.7 stayed tuned for its hour running time.
It was a good night for Five as well as Channel 4, with a peak of 2.5 million viewers watching CSI: Miami at 9pm.
This meant that it beat ITV1 show Superhuman: Super Strong, a documentary looking at some of the strongest people on the planet, which peaked with just 2.4 million viewers.
Celebrity reality series Maestro only managed a peak of 1.7 million at 9pm, with the remaining students conducting a programme of popular operatic arias.
