Media iQ hires former SMG CEO as new chairman

Global analytics and technology company Media iQ has announced the appointment of Stewart Easterbrook as chairman to the board with immediate effect.

Alongside the board of directors, Lee Puri, Gurman Hundal and Paul Silver, Easterbrook has been hired to help drive business growth and lead the company’s expansion plans throughout 2015.

Previously CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group, and then executive director of digital development across Europe, Easterbrook has worked with Media iQ as a strategic advisor since September 2014, but this week joins as an official member of the board to “further position the company as an analytics technology specialist.”

“Having worked with Media iQ over the last year, I have seen an inspiring level of talent and a real understanding of how robust analytics and data can transform businesses,” Easterbrook said.

“Media iQ has such a clear vision for its future and growth, so I’m excited to come on board at this pivotal moment in the business.”

Lee Puri, co-founder of the company, added: “Stewart is a media veteran and one of the best in the business. He has extensive knowledge of technology and digital marketing, which will enable Media iQ to further enhance its superior analytics and technology offering.

“Stewart’s strategic consultancy has already had a huge impact on the business and his appointment is the first of many developments we are making to further enhance our market leading offering and drive the business forward in 2015.”
