New Local TV station in hot water over c-word

Leeds’ new local TV station has come under fire from Ofcom after breaching broadcasting rules during its debut show.

Made in Leeds dropped the almighty c-word pre-watershed during the channel’s launch show as it aired a repeat of a vox pop feature between two Leeds lotharios on “How to pull a lady” – at 8am.

“It’s a good cop, bad cop,” one man said, before the other replied, “Exactly, he’s the c*nt and I’m nice. It works.”

However, while the two participants may have their dating life sussed, Made in Leeds doesn’t seem to have quite got to grips with the UK’s broadcasting rules.

“After a thorough investigation, Ofcom found Made in Leeds breached broadcasting rules for airing the most offensive language before the watershed during its launch show,” a spokesman for Ofcom said.

“The channel separately breached our rules during a trailer for Clubaholic.tv. The trailer exceeded the limits for flashing images which serve to protect those affected by photosensitive epilepsy.”

Made in Leeds has said that the breach was “wholly unacceptable”.
