Virgin Net Launches £1.5m Online Marketing Campaign
Virgin Net is planning a £1.5 million online marketing campaign for this summer, designed to promote specifically its entertainment and leisure services. The campaign, launching in August, will focus on Virgin Net’s cinema, music, travel and sports information.
Virgin Net’s publishing director, Alex Dale, says: “The prime objective of the campaign is to establish our entertainment and leisure focus so that internet users come to use Virgin Net for planning a family day out, booking a holiday or seeing what’s on at the cinema.”
Planning and buying for the campaign has been handed to internet specialist, i-level, the company started by Charlie Dobres, Craid Wilkie and Andrew Walmsley in April (see Interview – Charlie Dobres, Andrew Walmsley and Craig Wilkie, founding partners – i-level). “i-level are a very dynamic and experienced team. With their expertise, we believe they have the right strategic direction and creative approach to help us push Virgin Net forward as the UK’s number destination guide for entertainment and leisure,” says Dale. The creative work will be handled by Incline.
