Agony Line Aims At Women

The woman’s monthly magazine market sees a new addition on September 23 with the introduction of Agony Line, a problem magazine aimed at readers aged between 20-35.

Editor of the title, Vivian Donald, told MediaTel today that although the magazine would obviously face competition from rivals like Woman and Woman’s Own it contained enough individuality to rustle up readers of its own. The monthly will contain all the usual features of a woman’s glossy, with editorial leaning towards health, beauty, sex and money, but its main emphasis will be on the ‘problem page’. With an initial print run of 100,000 Donald aims for a settle down figure of 50,000. The magazine will have an A5, glossy format, with a cover price of £1.30.
