Natmags Unveils Best Marketing

Natmags has announced details of a revamp and marketing drive for Best, the title which has taken it into the women’s weekly market for the first time. This month’s issue will be supported by a regional radio advertising campaign, backed up with posters placed in around 30 Sainsbury’s supermarkets for a two week period in November.

A total of 22 radio stations will carry the campaign, focussed in the areas of Yorkshire, South and South East, Central Scotland and the North East. The campaign coincides with a new look for the title, including a change of logo, clearer signposting within the magazine and what is described by the publishers as “a slightly cleaner look”.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of IPC revealing that its new women’s weekly title Your Life was going glossy and would also be the subject of marketing investment.(see IPC’s Your Life Goes Glossy).

Natmags acquired Best as part of its takeover of Gruner + Jahr last year (see NatMags Grabs Gruner and Jahr

In the last set of ABCs, Best, with a circulation of 432,252, trailed far behind the H Bauer market leader Take A Break and still has some way to go to catch strong IPC titles in the sector, including Woman, which managed a circulation of 660,781.
