Taylor Nelson Sofres Releases Positive Year End Results

Taylor Nelson Sofres has delivered its full year results for the year ending 31 December 2000. The company saw strong growth during the year, with pre-tax profits rising 16.5% from the 1999 total of £32.5m to £37.8m. Turnover also increased, by over 25% to £479m.

Chairman Tony Cowling commented, “We are not currently seeing any evidence of slowdown in our market and, while it is possible that certain sectors may come under economic pressure, we believe that our global network, sector spread and business mix will enable us to maintain our record of strong growth.”

The group puts its success in growing its operating margin down to its building of higher margin syndicated services, including through acquisition, and the driving through of efficiency gains within the group. Taylor Nelson Sofres now operates out of over 50 countries, providing market information services in more than 80 countries and is ranked as the fourth largest market information group in the world.
