Bram Stoker’s Dracula, which opened nationally last Friday, took £2.64m at the box office in its first 3 days. It is unclear if it has actually broken box office records. In 1989 Batman took £2.7m but this included previews.
The cinema industry ended 1993 on a high note with a massive year-on-year increase in admissions in December. If Dracula’s success continues then admissions for the beginning of 1993 will also be high.
