TV Will Rebound In 2003, Says AA

Television adspend in 2001 was £3.5 billion, a decrease of 11% decrease on the total spend for 2000. This represents a loss of £425 million in advertising revenue for the television industry, and takes the 2001 total below the level it was in 1999.

The AA forecasts that TV revenue in 2002 will be £3.4 billion rising to £3.7 billion in 2003. This represents growth of around 6% in 2003, slightly ahead of the total market which is expected to grow by around 5.5%.
