Chrysalis Radio’s flagship Heart 106.2 is launching a £1 million television advertising campaign this autumn to increase its profile in the London area.
The campaign will air across Carlton, Channel 4, Five, GMTV and several major satellite channels. It will feature the straplines ‘Girls Night Out’ and ‘Who’s the Bloke’.
The creative executions are designed to portray fun lifestyle moments that represent the values of Heart 106.2. The music selected for the ads is also intended to demonstrate that the station has moved on to more contemporary trends, including Christina Aguilera and the Sugababes.
Commenting on the campaign, Tina Finch, marketing controller of Heart 106.2, said: “The new creatives have been designed to connect with our listeners, reflecting memorable and fun moments from their lives.”
Chrysalis Radio recently secured Martini to sponsor a range of programming across its Heart stations, as part of the drinks brand’s multimillion pound summer promotional campaign (see Heart Shaken Not Stirred By New Sponsorship Deal).
The latest RAJAR listening figures for the three months to June 2003 show that Heart 106.2 saw its weekly reach increase by 11.4% year on year to 1,852,000, up from 1,663,000 in the same period the previous year.
