DoubleClick Expands Search Engine Marketing Offering

DoubleClick has secured several partnerships to expand its search engine marketing solutions for clients.
The digital media group has signed reseller agreements with iProspect and TrafficLeader enabling it to provide natural search engine marketing services and paid search inclusion technology to clients looking to increase return on investment on the internet.
DoubleClick claims the deals will help expand its existing search marketing offerings, including DART for advertisers and DART for publishers, which allow clients to track their paid listings through ‘click commands’ and ‘tracking ads’.
Commenting on the deal, Sage Peterson, vice president of strategic alliances at iProspect, said: “Our DoubleClick partnership will drive dramatic increases in search referral traffic to their clients from search engines like Google, Yahoo, AltaVista, MSN and others.”
He added: “Nothing is more powerful than being found at or near the top of the actual search results when interested prospects search for you using keywords and phrases relevant to your website, and nothing is more damaging than having these same prospects find your competition if your site is not properly optimised.”
DoubleClick says the new services are the first of many search engine marketing solutions that it, along with other leading companies in the market, plans to offer customers.
Recent research from the digital media group reveals that rich media advertising is becoming increasingly popular amongst online marketers, with the number of rich media executions increasing to nearly 32% of all online ads in the second quarter of 2003, up from just 17.3% in the same period in the previous year (see DoubleClick Reveals Continued Growth In Rich Media Ads).
