AOL Launches Website To Push Online Advertising
![]()
AOL has launched a new dedicated website to promote the benefits of online advertising to marketers and to explain to agencies how digital campaigns can best be planned and measured.
The new website, www.aol.co.uk/mediaspace, is part of a broader campaign to encourage businesses to advertise on the AOL service and will be supported by an extensive online campaign across a range of websites.
AOL claims the website will help to enable advertisers to make informed decisions about their advertising spend. It will contain specific information such as ratecard details and specifications and will provide simple definitions for the different types of promotional devices advertisers can use.
Last month the Internet Advertising Bureau launched its first ever integrated marketing push to raise awareness and understanding of the medium. The latest figures show that UK online advertising spend increased by 18.7% year on year during 2002 to almost £200 million (see IAB Appoints First Ever Research Manager).
