IPC has announced a number of new appointments amongst its women’s titles including that of Glenda Marchant who will become the advertising director of the Women’s General Interest group.
Marchant will be responsible for developing Woman and Home’s circulation growth and increasing revenues at Essentials and Family Circle. She has been acting advertising director of the Women’s General Interest group for the past five months. Prior to this, she was launch ad director of Maxim and ad director of Good Housekeeping.
The group has also appointed Anna O’Sullivan as advertising director of the Women’s Lifestyle group, which includes Practical Parenting, Mizz and 19.
O’Sullivan previously worked at Redwood Publishing on Marks and Spencer magazine and prior to this was the launch publisher of Red magazine at EMAP.
Meanwhile in another move, Claire Portis, who was previously head of business development will take up the new post as advertisement business director. Portis will help manage the strategic and financial objectives of IPC’s South Bank advertising team.
IPC has recently undergone a range of management changes, following the announcement that Linda Genower was retiring from her role of managing director of IPC Connect, less than a week after the appointment of Sylvia Auton as chief executive (see IPC Re-Shuffles Management Board).
