Search engine giant, Google has struck a deal with internet service provider, Tiscali, to offer its web targeted advertising product on Tiscali’s European websites.
The agreement will see Google’s search results available on Tiscali portals in The Netherlands, Denmark, the Czech Republic and will expand to the other main countries where the ISP operates by mid-2005.
As well as Google providing Tiscali users with web search, it will also enable them to use Google’s search targeted marketing tool, AdWords.
Mario Marian of Tiscali said: “We have always been committed to offering our customers the best possible internet experience and to experimenting with new web frontiers. The agreement with Google not only guarantees we can offer our users the best search technology on the market, but will allow us to be the first to offer new functions which will become available as the technology evolves.”
