🤖 TikTok has reached a deal to form a joint venture which will enable it to keep operating in the US. ByteDance, TikTok’s Chinese owner, has signed a deal with Larry Ellison’s Oracle, a private equity group, which will retain control over its core US operations. (The Guardian)

💻 OpenAI has launched an App Directory to enable browsing of all tools which are available. It has also opened its software development kit for developers to build new interactive experiences that work within the bot’s user interface. (The Verge)

🤖 Trump Media and Technology Group owner of the US president’s Truth Social platform has announced plans to merge with TAE Technologies, a fusion power company. The deal is worth more than $6bn, reflective of the expected surge in energy demand from the AI boom. (The Guardian)

🎧 A new study by Oxford Road and Podscribe showed that YouTube views are 18-25% less effective than audio downloads at driving purchases. For every $1m spent on YouTube podcast impressions, brand advertisers may be losing up to $250k in conversion value. (Podnews)

🍎 Apple is expanding the amount of ads that appear in App Store search results. The company has said it will introduce more ads “to increase opportunity in search results” starting next year. (9to5mac)
